Khan is a former arts funder, has played cello in an earnest folk-rock duo, and was a firedancer and internationally known hula hoop teacher and performer for over decade. He has a sordid past as a poet, but now focuses mostly on SFF. His short fiction has appeared in anthologies from Stars and Sabers. His debut novel, The Circus Infinite, was longlisted for the BSFA Best Novel category, and was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award.
